Courses & Training
Gokart is a challenging and fun sport with a great sense of achievement for all ages.
Why gokarting?
- Safety – Gokart introduces children to safety rules and routines that make them aware in traffic.
- Fun activity – No prior knowledge needed. Gokart is the best introduction to motorsport.
- Family activity – Most participants bring parents as companions. Few sports offer such close contact between parents and children.
- Better reflexes – Drivers learn to think ahead and make quick decisions in a split second.
- Career starter – Most professional motorsport athletes started with gokart: Verstappen, Senna, Schumacher, Hamilton.
What do you need?
- Licenses – Read more about licenses and courses below
- Visor helmet approved for gokart (moped/motorcycle helmets NOT allowed)
- Gloves covering wrists, shoes covering ankles
- Driving suit approved for gokart (rain gear/overalls OK for practice)
- Rib protector
- A gokart (used from approx. 5,000–15,000 NOK)
- Van or trailer for transport
Where to start? Come to practice and try! We have club karts for ages 6–10. Contact us at halsanmk@gmail.com or call 915 36 411 to arrange a time.
NMK Halsa offers license courses and training supervisor courses.
Formula-K Gokart license course is held when there are enough registrations.

- Course fee: 800 NOK (400 NOK junior)
- Training supervisor: 200 NOK
- Payment by card or Vipps on arrival
Bring your own gokart and gear for the practical part, or arrange rental from the club with the instructor. Own helmet and driving gear must always be brought.
